Hi! My Name is Sonia from Sonia’s Henna Art. I’m a professional bridal henna artist based in Toronto, Canada. I started my journey as a Henna Artist in 2012, when I was in university and tried to make extra cash on the side. I have always admired art, especially the art of henna, which has a long history. I was first introduced to henna by my cousin sister when I moved cities. Since social media was not a thing back then, slowly, I started to play with henna and created different patterns. With time, I improved myself and learned from mistakes. Today, I can proudly say I can create a full bridal henna within 3-4 hours without looking at any pattern. As a mom of 3 young kids, I consider henna my meditation.
